I love to include sustainable, eco-conscious products in my articles when I can.
And, as the author of a book about how to get better sleep, I also enjoy helping people snuggle down to better snoozing, too.
So, when I hear about ethical companies creating earth-friendly products that are designed to do all the things I’m passionate about, I’m all ears.
Duvet Hog create duvets filled with ‘vegan down’ made from recycled plastic water bottles.
So:

- plastic gets a second life instead of being discarded in landfill or the oceans? Tick
The duvet is also washable in your own home washing machine – hence the ‘spin me don’t bin me’ mantra of the brand.
Now, back to the filling:
How do they get plastic bottles to turn into something that’s marshmallowish, soft, plumpy and light? Well, they shred bottles, heat them up, whip then into fibres and consequently come up with a material that resembles the look of a cloud how you’d imagine one would feel, too. Soft, light, warm, but breathable. It’s a duvet you want to wrap yourself up in And no geese are robbed of their fluffy feathers for our benefit in the process.
Duvet Hog duvets are produced in an eco-factory using renewable energy and there’s zero waste. Plus they’re chemical free and hypoallergenic.
