Just Wellness bedlinen at George Home

As a ‘sleep expert’ (in that I’ve done tonnes of research in sleep for health features and my book on the subject), I’m often asked to recommend bedlinen that might help ease you to sleep.

That means I’m always on the lookout for affordable brands that, to coin a phrase, ‘don’t cost the earth’ and are trying to do their bit for sustainability.

As part of its ‘George for Good’ campaign. George at Asda has committed to source more sustainable cotton for their home textile products through the Better Cotton Initiative (bettercotton.org). Buying from companies that invest in the Better Cotton Initiative means you’re helping support more sustainable cotton farming.

According to Jade Snart, Senior Sustainability Manager at George at Asda, over 80% of Asda’s shop floor now uses responsibly-sourced fibres.

I’m a fan of this waffle-textured duvet set in grey made from 100% organic cotton, from £24, Asda.com

Look out for more George brand textiles that feature the OEKO-TEX MADE IN GREEN label – it verifies a textile product has been made without the use of harmful substances, using sustainable processes under socially responsible working conditions.
