How to have a healthy holiday

In a recent article for the Daily Mirror and Daily Express, I shared tips from health experts including nutritionists, a dermatologist, ENT doctor, osteopath, pharmacists and a water safety expert on how to stay safe and well on holiday.

My favourite takeaways include one from osteopath Michael Fatica about performing the decompression technique after a long journey to alleviate pressure on the joints and nerves in your spine. Simply lie straight across the hotel bed on your tummy so your head and arms are dangling down over the edge of the bed. Gently stretch your lower back like this for approximately 20 seconds.

And pop some flaxseeds in your suitcase suggests nutritionist Lily Soutter. They’re full of fibre and an easy way to top up levels so that too many pizza meals don’t bung you up!
