The Hotel Alfonso XIII in Seville

We were lucky enough to stay in the most remarkable five-star luxe Hotel Alfonso XIII in Seville earlier in the year – which I wrote about for familytraveller.com.

This grand, opulent and historic hotel is a well-known landmark in the city. It’s an experience just to pop in to visit here for a cocktail or two and to tick that off your travel bucket list. And many tourists do. But to stay here? Another level!

Built by King Alfonso XIII specifically to be the finest hotel in Europe, this grand hotel first swung open its doors in 1929 to welcome dignitaries visiting the city for the Ibero-Americano Expo.
